What causes Hollister shirts to change color with washing?

By admin On November 8, 2009 Under Hollister

I wash all my clothes with the same detergents and stuff (none of which contain bleach), but some of my hollister shirts (usually the brown ones) come out with certain spots turning an orange color. Any ideas to stop this color changing would be great! Thanks!

You may want to check with the Hollister company, it could be the type of dye that they are using for that particular fabric reacting to your detergent products.

You may also have a high mineral or iron content in your water, this can sometimes cause these types of spots, which will be more noticeable on certain colors.

You have to have a water test done, and they you may need to have a water softener or conditioner unit added to your homes water system to eliminate the problem.
